ENCLOSURE MATERIALS

Nemaco manufactures with the highest quality grades of different materials for NEMA rating enclosures and IP rating standard enclosures. We offer carbon steel, aluminum, 304/316 stainless steel, and fiberglass. Each material has different characteristics. Therefore, consider the advantages and disadvantages by comparing them to choose the right material suitable to a particular environment. In addition, we also offer powder coated carbon steel and aluminum for corrosive protection.

CARBON STEEL ENCLOSURES

Carbon steel enclosures are the strongest electrical enclosures because carbon is the strongest material. There are some advantages and disadvantages compared to other types of materials. Carbon steel electrical enclosures are suitable for general indoor or outdoor use. It is considered to be one of the most widely used steel metals.

ALUMINUM ENCLOSURES

Aluminum enclosures (Aluminum Alloys) yield cost-effective products due to the low melting point. It has a high level of silicon, therefore it is good for casting characteristics. These material enclosures give a lightweight and corrosion resistance characteristic. However, they generally have lower tensile strengths than stainless steel and carbon steel. STAINLESS STEEL ENCLOSURES

Nemaco provides both 304 and 316 stainless steel enclosures for customers. We are manufacturing safety-rated electrical enclosures designed for comprehensive indoor and outdoor use using these materials. Characteristics of stainless steel enclosures are corrosion resistant, and strong. However, it produces a lot of weight, customers need to consider this factor for your applications. FIBERGLASS ENCLOSURES

Nemaco can offer FRP enclosures in standard materials, FR (flame/fire retardant) and HT (high temperature) plastic resin formulations. This type of material produces corrosion resistance to salt water and many chemicals, as well as electrically non-conductive materials and thermal insulators.
